More Frequent System Updates

I am currently working on assigning content to learners. The content was viewed in a group setting in the past. I now need to assign the content and update the learner status to complete. I have successfully assigned the content, but I can't see the content on the learner's status tab.

I spoke with Support who advised the system will not update until the top of the hour. This means I must stop working on this project and come back to it later. This is not a very efficient process for me. 

Would it be possible to have system updates scheduled more frequently or even real time?
