A lot of our employees, and in general I think for other companies, struggle with next steps after they have taken a training. In a world with more e-learning, a manger or HR person is not always there to guide the employee immediately. I think a simple handout that listed out 'next steps' could be part of the Biz Library Collection. It could be part of the competency guide or it could be just something attached to each training. For reference, see the For Your Improvement Book by Korn Ferry (formerly Lominger.) For each competency, there are recommended on-the-job activities the person can do build out their knowledge or skill. This could be very powerful and of course nobody is doing it.
