Due Dates and To-Do Lists

Because of the 60 day window on assignments showing on a users to do list our inherited group assignments don't show an a new team members home page if they are assigned to that team well after the initial assignment.  .

My suggestion is, rather than assign a hard due date to an assignment use a period of time after the assignment is made to the employee, eg 1-week, 2-weeks, 1-month, three months, etc.  Let the system calculate the due date for the individual user based on the specified period of time.

    I have a client, Carolina West Wireless, who is considering using our LMS (extension due December 15th), but is asking about this functionality. This is only one detractor, and won't necessarily make or break the deal, but it is an influencing factor.

    Servco Pacific is also asking for this functionality, both with normal assigned items and certifications.

    To clarify this request - it doesn't have to be based on the hire date, it could just be an option when the admin sets up the assignment (30 days from now, or 30 days after hire date or being added to team, whichever comes first), or it could be associated with the team, etc.

    This is hot for CTM/Montrose as well.  They are up for Renewal in December and have just started about leaving us for a system that can do this.
